How long will Queenstown airport keep found items?
- At Queenstown Airport, items found within the terminal or car parks are typically held for up to 3 months. After this period, unclaimed items are donated to local charities. Perishable goods are disposed of immediately, and valuables or cash over NZD $20 are handed over to the Airport Police upon discovery. If you've lost an item, you can report it by visiting the Airport Information Desk, located in the main terminal next to Provenance, during operating hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM daily). Alternatively, you can contact them via phone at +64 3 450 9031 or email at infodesk@queenstownairport.co.nz. For convenience, you may also submit a Lost Property Form online. Please note that items lost on board aircraft are managed by the respective airlines.
